Are you ready for a good time and good food with family and relatives perhaps some you have never met?
Do you know who your great, great, great grandparents were?
We are expecting you and your family to join us as we celebrate who we are at the RANSON FAMILY REUNION on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2013, with a covered dish meal at 1:00 p.m., (paper goods, utensils and drinks provided). After the meal, we will have time to fellowship, locate your generation on our Generation Time Line, watch a video of our relatives; play games outside for the younger ones, and take group pictures. Please bring memorabilia of your ancestors to share with us.
We will be meeting at SPOUT SPRING RURITAN CLUB, 2484 Richmond Highway, Spout Spring, Virginia. The Club is located about halfway between Concord and Appomattox on Route 460 East. There is a Ruritan Club sign at the entrance. Turn right and go through the underpass. The Club will be open early for your convenience.
There are several Bed & Breakfast places and a Super 8 Motel in Appomattox. We also have a James River State Park with cabins (off Rt. 60) about fifteen miles from Appomattox. Lynchburg is about twenty miles West of Appomattox and is the best bet for numerous motels and restaurants. Farmville is about fifteen miles away, to the East, which also has good accommodations.

FRIDAY, at 1:00 p.m., meet a ROCKS BAPTIST CHURCH for a tour of historical places.
Appomattox Court House National Historical park – fee $3-$5 and
Museum of the Confederacy – fee $6-$8-$10.
SATURDAY, at 10:00 a.m., meet at Rocks Baptist Church for a tour of ancestor’s home places and cemeteries.
SUNDAY NIGHT, at 7:00 p.m., meet at Rocks Baptist Church for sharing memories and fellowship.
Rocks Baptist Church (home church of Ranson descendants) is located about seven miles east of Appomattox off Route 460. Turn left on Rocks Church Road, address is 393 Rocks Church Road, Pamplin, VA.
